Since 2004, Arifa Azad has transformed her passion for fashion into a thriving family business. What began in a basement has grown into Bombay Collection’s current two-unit location at Payal Business Centre—all through hard work, dedication, and a love for helping women feel confident and beautiful.

Born in Fiji, Arifa was inspired by her mother, who owned a women’s clothing store. After immigrating to Canada in her late teens, she followed in her mother’s entrepreneurial footsteps and built Bombay Collection from the ground up.

In the early 2000s, Bombay Collection became known for offering customized matching hijabs for Muslim women, helping women express their individuality while embracing their style. Today, the store offers the latest in South Asian fashion for women and girls, with carefully hand-picked pieces for every size, occasion, and milestone.

Arifa’s daughter, Ateefa Azad, owner of Bombay Couture, now works alongside her. Together, they continue the tradition of personally selecting each piece and caring for every customer like family.
